Web-based Network Drive Using Box.net and your Mac

We use box.net in our home based business for online storage and for collaborating with others. It is a wonderful service that just keeps getting better everyday.

Recently on Geek-Speak we were provided with another slick way to take advantage of box.net by using it as a network drive on our Mac.

Here is what you do according to Geek-Speak:

Open Finder and then select Go > Connect to Server

In the dialog that opens up, enter the server address: http://www.box.net/dav and hit “Connect”

A dialog will come up in a minute or so asking for your Box.net username and password. Use the e-mail address and password you provided when you registered for Box.net.

Confirm your way out of that dialog, and a new network drive will appear in Finder called “dav”

Voila - that’s your Box.net filespace… enjoy
