As promised, here is this Fridays installment of the Links. Remember to get me your suggestions for next week. And, I just had to use a “links” for the image this week since spring has sprung and i will be getting my clubs out soon so I can hit the links.
From the American Chronicle, 3 things make your work at home Internet business unsuccessful. As listed, laziness, don’t create a business plan and don’t want to invest some money in your business. Take a look.
And right along with that is why you need to start a home based business now from Noodlenak. Read this one and go read the first one again.
I have a guest post coming out this weekend on WorkFromHomeMoma about some of the essentials you need. This week Essential keystrokes had a great post called, Home Office Essential - A Back Up Office Location. Discussed is the option of working from a coffee shop. Something I try to do at least once a week, whether I need to or not. Getting out of the home office even when there is not a reason and going to a coffee shop is a great way to clear your head. Char mentions having a coffee shop as a backup if and when something is not working at the home office like the darn wifi.
Speaking of WorkFromHomeMoma, Laura had a great two part interview called, Michael W. Jones: Work-At-Home Interview Part 1 and Part 2.
Interesting post at one of my “must read” blogs, Web Worker Daily about What does the 21st-Century workplace look like?
And for those of you doing one of those home office makeovers, take a look at Before & After: Home Office Makeover at Hooked on Houses.
Another one of my “must read” sites is Enterprise Nation. Emma Jones is just great and she has come out with a book called Spare Room Start Up: How to Start a Business from Home. A recent review was done by HomeWorker at Book Review: Spare Room Start Up. (BTW, the link to the book is my affiliate link)
I would love to have a “shed” in my backyard as my home office. And, if I can convince the CFO of that, I will. In the meantime, I take care of my need by reading Shedworking. Alex had a post this week called, How to insulate your shed. And thanks to Alex for providing some of the link ideas for this week too.
And of course I would not be me if I didn’t include at least one post about blogging. How to get more value from your site is from Chrisg.com
Finally, some of the other links provided to me this week came from my blogging and home office friend, HomeOfficeVoice. Martin will be coming out with some great new things in the very near future and I for one can’t wait. Should be a benefit to all who work from a home office.
Well that is it for this week. Remember to get me your link suggestions for next week. And if you provide links, you get a link too.
